Overview

For biomechanical assessments of the lower limb and foot.

This service provides assessment and treatment of pathologies and problems relating to abnormal foot structure and function. Treat includes prescription orthotics (surgical appliances, such as braces or splints), exercise and rehabilition advice.

Access and Facilities: Main entrance well signposted and wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair accessible toilet.

Referral Information: All ages, except under 4's. Referrals from GPs, Consultants and Allied Health Professionals in primary and secondary care.

All referrals are centrally triaged and entered on the appropriate service pathway, which may be Biomechanics, Community Podiatry or Foot Surgery. An appointment should be offered within six weeks.
