Help us celebrate 70 years of NHS community care

NHS 70

Calling all budding historians and those with memories of they would like to share about Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust (NCHC)

The NHS is 70 this year and as such NCHC would be really keen to hear from anyone who has a story or photo to share!

Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust provides a wide range of community health services such as Physiotherapy and Community Nursing. Patients can receive our services within their own homes, places of care or residence, as well as within our community hospitals, many outpatient units, and within GP practices and health centres.

We would like to collect stories and memorabilia from patients, workers, volunteers and the public to display and use online with the EDP.

Although NCHC is a relatively new Trust (established on 1 November 2010) it took over the community services previously run by Norfolk Primary Care Trust. So please do share all your community health stories over the past 70 years.

Perhaps you were a patient or a porter, a radiographer, a surgeon or a cleaner at Norwich Community Hospital (previously West Norwich Hospital) on Bowthorpe Road in Norwich.

Or have memories of one of our community hospitals at Dereham, Swaffham, Colman, Kelling, North Walsham, Ogden Court or St James’?

Have you been cared for by one of our services? Whatever your story, we are keen to hear about it and share to help celebrate 70 years of the NHS.

Please send/scan your memorabilia to communications@nchc.nhs.uk please note that your images may be used for public display purposes and online. Your images and stories will also be shared with the EDP.
