Bereavement Service
This service provides support to individuals and families following the death of a patient who has accessed Specialist Palliative Care Services, either as an in-patient or in the community. Support is provided by trained bereavement volunteers and post graduate trainee counsellors according to the level of need required. The service can also signpost people who access the service to other support agencies. A range of books and other resources about bereavement and loss are available. Training for professional and non-statutory agencies on bereavement and loss can also be provided.
