NCH&C Patient Wi-Fi: Acceptable Usage Policy (AUP):

The Patient Wi-Fi service is provided for patients and their friends, family or guests while staying on or visiting Norfolk Community Health and Care (NCH&C) Trust premises at which the Wi-Fi service is available. All users of Norfolk Community Health and Care Trust’s Patient Wi-Fi service agree to and must comply with this Acceptable Use Policy (AUP).

Usage of and the right to use the Patient Wi-Fi service is governed by NCH&C and is intended only for the designated recipient. The right to use the service cannot be transferred or purchased . Access to the service is controlled and monitored by NCH&C. Monitoring data is collected and retained by NCH&C on a 14 day cycle, at which point the data is deleted.

Users are not permitted to upload images, record comments or engage in any other activity that may bring the reputation (or otherwise breach the privacy) of the Trust, its staff, patients, suppliers or service users into disrepute. The display of offensive material in any publicly accessible area, which includes digital display screens, is strictly prohibited. This includes but is not limited to:  obscene or pornographic material, discriminatory material (on grounds of sex, race, disability, sexual orientation, age, religion or otherwise) and material considered pertinent to the commission of crime, terrorist acts and illegal drugs. NCH&C does not exercise direct editorial control over the content of any third party website. However, NCH&C may remove, block, filter or restrict by any other means any materials that in our sole discretion may be illegal, subject NCH&C to liability or otherwise violate this AUP.

It is a breach of this AUP for a user of the service to deliberately perform any act that will impair the operation of any electronic system or network. This includes the wilful or ignorant wasting of system or network resources by sending large volumes of spam, generating large volumes of printed output, or the wilful creation of heavy network traffic.

By using this service you agree not to attempt any illegal activities as governed by UK law, or to break/bypass the security measures in place within this Wi-Fi Service. NCH&C will not be held liable for any failure to abide by these terms and reserves the right to withdraw the service should, in our sole opinion, any of the terms as stated herein be breached.

NCH&C does not guarantee the security, the confidentiality or the integrity of the user's information while connected to the Patient Wi-Fi network. The reproduction, upload or download of information (of which NCH&C does not hold the copyright or responsibility) is illegal without permission from the copyright holder.

NCH&C specifically disclaims all liability for unauthorised third-party security breaches or the results thereof. Access to the Patient Wi-Fi service is provided on an ‘as is’ basis with all risks inherent in such access. By connecting to the Patient Wi-Fi service the user acknowledges the risks associated with public access to the internet and hereby releases and indemnifies NCH&C from any damages that might occur.
