Community healthcare staff winners announced at NHS award ceremony

Last night Norfolk Community Health and Care (NCH&C) hosted its first staff awards in over three years to celebrate its extraordinary and dedicated members of staff.

More than 350 nominations were received for this year’s NCH&C REACH Awards (Recognition of Excellence and Achievement in Community Healthcare), and 200 colleagues were invited to the ceremony to find out who the deserving winners were.

The awards ceremony was held at The Forum in Norwich and gave guests the chance to mingle amongst the NCH&C Looking After You Locally exhibition, which is currently running at the venue until Wednesday 2 November. The awards and the exhibition are a way of recognising all NCH&C staff, working both on the front line and behind the scenes, for their outstanding patient care, and dedication to the trust and the wider NHS.

Stephen Collman, CEO of NCH&C, said: “The standard of entries to this year’s REACH Awards was incredible. Judging was very, very difficult. We could have given out hundreds of awards. Everyone at the trust has worked so hard over the last three years especially and these awards, and the Looking After You Locally exhibition, recognises everyone’s contribution and role.”

The host for the evening was Tim FitzHigham, a comedian, author, actor, and holder of multiple world records. Among numerous TV credits as a comedian, he has starred as the villain in Paddington 2, and as himself in the Clint Eastwood movie, Hereafter. In 2022, Tim was appointed as the Creative Director of St George’s Guildhall in King’s Lynn: Britain’s oldest working theatre.
