As part of #CarersWeek, we are proud to launch a new initiative at Swaffham Community Hospital and The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King's Lynn. This project focuses on co-producing a Carers' Guide - a practical booklet designed to support Carers through every stage of a hospital stay, from admission to discharge.

We understand how stressful the hospital and discharge process can be. That's why we've worked closely with Carers Voice Norfolk and Waveney, Carers, patients, and staff to create a resource that offers clear, compassionate guidance.

"The hospital discharge process is often a time of huge worry and anxiety for Carers," said Sharon Brooks, Chief Officer of Carers Voice. "Carers are the real experts about the people they look after and often are the ones who will be continuing the care once a person leaves hospital. The co-produced Carers Guide empowers Carers to ask the questions they need answers to. I want to thank everyone involved in the development of the Carers' Guide - but most of all, our Ambassador Graham Goodwin who has been co-chairing this project and has given so much time to helping improve the process for Carers."
