Congratulations to our REACH Award winners 2025!

On Thursday 25 September, 180 members of staff gathered at the Holiday Inn Norwich North to celebrate excellence across NCH&C.

The evening began with live music from Bill Downs during the drinks reception, giving colleagues a chance to catch up and connect. Guests were then welcomed into the main room, where long service awards were presented before everyone sat down to enjoy a meal together.

The main awards followed, with Executive Directors and event sponsors taking to the stage to announce the shortlisted nominees, share their inspiring achievements, and present each winner with their award.

It was fantastic to see colleagues and teams celebrating one another and the incredible work they do every day.

CEO Matthew Winn shared his reflections on the night:

It was a privilege to celebrate the outstanding contributions of our colleagues. Their commitment to care, innovation, and teamwork is what makes our Trust so special. Every nominee and winner is a shining example of the values we hold dear.

Congratulations to all our winners and nominees, and thank you to every member of staff who makes a difference every single day."

The NCH&C Charitable Fund also ran a raffle on the night which raised an incredible £886. This money will go towards improving the experience of our patients and staff.

Thank you to everyone who submitted a nomination for these categories. We're delighted to share the winners of these awards below.

Don't forget, you can share your feedback all year round by completing our  online compliments form. If you have a positive experience to share, we'd love to hear from you.

Patient Choice Award

This award gives patients, families, and carers the chance to nominate an individual or team who has provided outstanding care or support, often going the extra mile to ensure patients have a positive experience with our service.

Winning the Patient Choice Award was the NN4 Community and Therapy and Urgent Community Response (North) teams.

They were nominated for the outstanding, compassionate end-of-life care they provided, ensuring dignity, comfort, and support for both patient and family.

Merit is the UK's leading industrialised construction and digital manufacturing specialist, delivering high-quality, technically complex facilities for the healthcare, life sciences, education, semiconductor and battery tech sectors.

In January 2024, Merit was appointed by NCH&C to design and deliver our new therapy-led rehabilitation unit on site at Norwich Community Hospital. The new state-of-the-art facility opened to patients in March 2025.

A huge thank you to Merit for being the event sponsor for our 2025 awards. We look forward to celebrating with our staff in September.
