Farewell and Thank You to Graham Nice
After an incredible 50-year career in the NHS, we bid a fond farewell to Graham Nice, Non-Executive Director, who retired from his role at NCH&C on Tuesday 14 October.
Graham joined the Trust in October 2018, bringing with him a wealth of executive leadership experience from across community NHS services, including senior roles in Cambridgeshire and Sussex. His deep understanding of the NHS, combined with his passion for developing people, has made a lasting impact on our organisation.
With an MBA and a strong interest in leadership development, Graham has been a champion of coaching and mentoring emerging talent. His commitment to helping others reach their full potential has been evident throughout his time with us.
Beyond NCH&C, Graham has served as a Specialist Advisor for the Care Quality Commission since 2014, contributing to inspection teams across both NHS and private healthcare sectors. He also ran his own successful consultancy until 2019, further demonstrating his dedication to improving healthcare services.
In recognition of his extraordinary contribution, Graham was honoured with the Special Recognition Chair's Award at the 2025 REACH Awards. Personally selected by our Chair, Lynda Thomas, this award celebrates exceptional dedication, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to the values of the NHS. Graham's nearly five decades of service have left a lasting legacy on patients, colleagues, and the wider community. He truly embodies the very best of what it means to serve in healthcare.
We thank Graham for his invaluable contributions to NCH&C and the wider NHS, and we wish him all the very best for a happy and fulfilling retirement.
