We're delighted to announce that Norfolk Community Health & Care NHS Trust (NCH&C) has been shortlisted for the 'Inclusive Culture' Award at the Onvero Inclusivity Excellence Awards 2025.

The awards celebrate individuals and organisations that are making a significant contribution to promoting inclusivity and diversity in their companies and industries. NCH&C is shortlisted for its work creating an inclusive and supportive culture in West Place. The award nomination was submitted by Jo Fisher, Director of West Place, on behalf of NCH&C.

Winners and highly commended candidates will be chosen by a panel of DEI experts and announced at an awards ceremony on 13 November 2025, hosted at the Institution of Civil Engineers.

The 'Inclusive Culture' Award recognises an organisation whose commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion (DEI) has reshaped its culture, creating a sense of belonging among the employees who represent the customers and communities they serveand are fulfilled and productive.

Jo's entry details how the West Place worked alongside NCH&C's staff networks to create a culture where colleagues feel comfortable to talk, learn from each other, and work together to resolve any issues.

West Place's commitment to inclusion is already having a tangible impact. As well as seeing colleagues being more open with each other about the issues they and others face, West Place has also seen an improvement in its staff turnover and NHS staff survey scores, and a reduction in staff absence.

A big thank you to Jo and her team for the hard work they have put in on making NCH&C a better workplace for everyone. Best of luck for the awards event!

Onvero is a not-for-profit organisation that helps employers create diverse teams and inclusive cultures, previously known as ENEI (the Employers' Network for Equality & Inclusion). NCH&C has worked with ENEI since 2022 is proud to hold ENEI's Disability Confident Leader status.
