Ambient Voice Technology (AVT)

We are testing a new tool in some of our services called Ambient Voice Technology (AVT).

What is AVT?

AVT is speech recognition software that listens during your consultation and helps record notes automatically. This means your clinician spends less time typing and more time focusing on you.

Why are we testing this?

We want to see if AVT can:

  • Save time for health professionals
  • Improve the quality of your consultations and visits
  • Help get letters to you faster
  • Reduce waiting times for patients

What this means for you

If your clinician uses AVT, they will let you know. You can ask questions or request that it is not used - your preference is our priority, and the quality of your care will not change.

Your data is stored securely and confidentially in line with NHS standards. For more details, see NCH&C privacy notice: www.norfolkcommunityhealthandcare.nhs.uk/privacy-notice
