Why join us

Working in the community is very different to providing health and care in an acute setting, but it is just as rewarding.

At the heart of every community is great health and care - delivered by people who see every patient as an individual, not just a condition. At NCH&C, we believe care is about more than treatment. It's about building relationships, supporting independence, and making a lasting difference.

Working in a community trust is different from an acute hospital - the pace, settings, and connections you'll make are unique - but it's just as rewarding, and often more personal.

We deliver services across Norfolk in a wide range of settings:

  • Community hospitals in North Walsham, Dereham, Kelling, King's Lynn, and Norwich
  • Health and medical centres in Cromer, Wymondham, Thorpe, and Swaffham
  • More than 70 sites across the county, plus teams working directly in patients' homes, care homes, GP surgeries, and local clinics

This variety means you'll have opportunities to work in different environments, develop new skills, and find the setting that suits you best.

We're proud to employ more than 2,500 staff across Norfolk. Over 80% of our workforce are healthcare professionals, including:

  • Nurses, Doctors, and Healthcare Assistants
  • Allied Health Professionals such as Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists

Our clinicians are supported by dedicated colleagues in IT, HR, Admin, Finance, Estates, and many other services.

We also offer multiple routes into a career with NCH&C, from apprenticeships and volunteering to Return to Practice opportunities. Whatever your career stage, you'll find plenty of progression pathways and support to help you grow.
