Important information

Due to restrictions following the Covid-19 pandemic, patients must call to book an appointment (see contact details below).  Please do not attend a clinic without an appointment, as you will not be seen.

Emergencies will be prioritised.

Our service

Our Prosthetics Service provides assessment and fitting of upper and lower limb prostheses for people who have had an arm or leg amputated. We also support people preparing for an amputation and those with a congenital limb difference.

The service is available to patients across Norfolk and parts of Suffolk, with clinics in Norwich and Ipswich.

Who we care for

We provide care for both children and adults.

Referrals

  • New patients: require a referral from a healthcare professional.
  • Existing patients: can self-refer to the service.

Help with health costs

If you're referred to hospital or other NHS premises for specialist NHS treatment or diagnostic tests by a doctor, dentist or another primary care health professional, you may be able to claim a refund of reasonable travel costs under the Healthcare Travel Costs Scheme (HTCS).
